Shortbread

Happy Holidays!

Everyone’s relaxing right now, some more than others in their new jacuzzis… Biebs.

Chris made a big move and got himself on Independent trucks and the clothing team (maybe a signature jean… or a pastel waffle shirt…??)

Chris and Jereme have some interviews coming out early in the new year in Slap, Skateboarder and The Skateboard Mag.

Magnus has an interview in the latest issue of Concrete Powder.

Ted is living back down in SF, tearing up the streets no doubt.

Stenger’s got the best part in the new Modern Love vid from Green Apple.

And Antisocial’s got a hot new website up. www.antisocialshop.com

That’s it for now, must go stuff my face with Mom’s shortbread….

Lee RIP

Unfortunately, today the news is terrible. One of our friends, Lee Matasi had his life cut short this past weekend. Lee was an amazing person and will be missed by many people. Our thoughts are with Alison and her family.

first winner

We’ve got our first winner for October in the new monthly wheel give-away contest. Dalton Kendrick from Clearfield PA…come on down… to Vancouver and collect your prize. Just kidding, we’ll mail it to you.

As everyone and their dog knows, Jereme has been destroying the contest scene in his first year as a pro. Here’s a run down of his placings this year, courtesy of www.skatedaily.net:

- Tampa Pro – Pro event 11th, Best Trick 1st

- Right Guard Open in Denver, CO – 2nd

- Slam City Jam in Vancouver BC – 2nd

- Toyota Challenge in San Jose, CA – 9th

- West 49 Canadian Open – 3rd

- Play Station Pro in Orlando, FL – 1st

- Dew Action Sports Tour – 5th Overall

- Etnies Goofy vs Regular – 1st in team, 1st Overall

DVS has an interview up on their site where Jereme talks about his crazy year and his new vid he’s working on. www.dvsskate.com (rumour has it that he’ll have footage for some craychee wheel company video in the works for next year too…)

Chris and Corey joined up with Cooper Wilt and Aaron Artis for a bullet proof vehicle chaperoned tour of South Africa. Have fun and come back safe boys!

Check out the new January issue of Skateboarder mag for a fancy photo of Haslam doing a sketchy hippie jump, an article on Biebel’s house and our new ad with an am that definitely deserves some love… www.skateboardermag.com

Watch out for Morgan Smith from Ontario. Weiss has put him on Blind, flying him down to film with the big boys twice this year. Supposedly, he’s got a part in the re-release Blind vid, and guess what wheel co. he rides for? pics up soon.

Mike Barker has a bangin part in P Rod’s new vid, Forecast which is in stores soon. Check out the trailer here: www.forecastvideo.com

W49 contest

Jereme loves his Canadian contests! He threw down for a third at the W49 Canadian Open this last weekend in Mississauga. Chris won some cash in the best trick contest as well. Click here for final placings and info.

Rick and Jereme are staying in Toronto and are joined by Koston and BA, doing the Girl “How dare you call this a tour” ..uhhh tour. www.supradistribution.com

Keegan and Scott Pommier recently headed out on their bikes with a final destination of Baja!! “It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.” Good luck and have fun guys.

Biebel’s in Barcelona, Corey’s in New York and I’m stuck behind my desk. Yay!

We had to change our free sticker give-away because we were gonna go broke giving away the thousands of stickers you guys were asking for. So now you can enter to win a free set of wheels a month. Check it out in the gravy train section below.
